One of the objectives Kaamos has set itself is sustainability and to base its decisions on the principles of sustainable development. As one of the Green Tiger’s founding members, we want to kick-start a green revolution and boost environmental awareness in society.
The steps set out below are the ones we’ve taken so far to make the world a better place to live in.
In 2021 we constructed Tallinn’s biggest solar farm, and since then we’ve made further investments in the production of solar power, doubling the initial volume. Our aim is to cover the energy needs of all of the companies in the Kaamos group in full in the future with energy we’ve produced ourselves.
In 2022 we’ve made the transition to green energy in all of our buildings, their energy needs being met with help from solar, wind and hydropower.
We’ve invested in the innovative energy conversion business Fusebox, giving both us and our clients the chance to manage our energy consumption the smart way.
Kaamos Ehitus is implementing the international environmental management standard ISO 14001, which will help to improve resource efficiency and reduce construction waste.
We’re applying for a LEED Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certificate for the Avala business centre. The certificate is awarded to buildings designed and constructed in line with the principles of environmental friendliness and sustainable development.
We observe environmental legislation, social ethical norms and best practice in everything we do. We strive to make our employees more environmentally aware by organising special events like our tree-planting days.
We also expect our clients and partners to act responsibly in regard to the environment. We motivate them to use the latest solutions to reduce the negative impact on the world around us arising from the doubling-up of operations.
