Padel is a simple and fun racket sport that is great for people of all ages and physical fitness levels. To enjoy padel, you do not need previous experience in racket sports. A good mood and fun partners will be more than enough. As padel is played in doubles and the use of the walls of the court is allowed after the ball bounces off the ground, it is one of the most social and engaging racket sports in the world.
What also contributes to the simplicity of the game is that the ball must be bounced before the serve and hit below hip height, that is, underhand, in contrast to tennis. You need a padel racket and balls to play. Unlike a tennis or squash racket, a padel racket is shorter and covered with either plastic or carbon fibre coating and has no strings, but holes instead. Padel balls do look similar to tennis balls, but have a lower internal pressure and therefore do not bounce as intensely. It is recommended for players to wear padel or tennis shoes to have the best possible grip on a court of artificial turf covered with a thin layer of sand.
The court is open daily from 06:00 to 00:00
